Stonington Bears Youth Lacrosse board members are parents, business owners, past lacrosse players and coaches. We embrace and are members of US Lacrosse Organization and NECLAX. Our mission statement is dedicated to the kids of Stonington and neighboring towns providing all of our players and members with the opportunity to discover and ultimately embrace the shared passion of the lacrosse experience. Stonington Bears Youth Lacrosse offers our players the opportunity for personal growth and development by teaching the value of respect, fairness, teamwork, communication, responsibility, truthfulness, non-discrimination, honesty and integrity at all times. 

The organization is open to the youth of Stonington, North Stonington, Pawcatuck, Ledyard and surrounding areas that do not have a youth lacrosse organization.

Stonington Bears Youth Lacrosse filed under South Eastern Area Lacrosse is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.

Stonington Bears Youth Lacrosse Programs

Spring (League) season - This season now begins in February/March with indoor practices at Mystic Indoor Sports followed by outdoor practices and games starting in April and ending by mid-June. This is regular league play against teams from surrounding towns. Depending on your team, practices are generally held weeknights (2 or 3 times per week) at local schools. Games are generally on Saturday or Sunday afternoons with some games during week nights. Most teams also attend regional tournaments.  Registration begins in December. Full equipment and a uniform are necessary.

Equipment needs:

Boys - helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, lacrosse stick, cleats
Girls - goggles, mouth guard, lacrosse stick, cleats

  • Mondays 5pm to 8pm (3 hours)

Our Fall Junior Sharks K-3 Academy Training Program is an 8-session high paced training format that will allow our athletes in the current graduation years of 2032 Through 2029 the ability to enhance their overall Lacrosse skill set during the Fall Months while having a ton of fun!
Our Junior Sharks K-3 Academy Focuses on coaching and teaching the skills of the game the correct way. The mission of the Junior Sharks K-3 Academy is to develop our athletes true fundamentals allowing players to enhance their knowledge and techniques, all while being a part of a fun, positive and informative environment!
The goal is that every player in our K-3 Academy will have the best opportunity to work on exactly what is needed in order to take their game to the next level.
Players have the ability to register for all 8 sessions and or to pick and choose which sessions you can make allowing you to fit in training around your fall schedules!
CT-Shoreline Sharks Lacrosse Club program is South Eastern Connecticuts leading club Lacrosse organization that provides year-round training and offers an advanced team format to allow our athletes the ability to reach their maximum potential on the field. We are excited to launch our K-3 Training Academy for the Fall of 2019!
The Junior K-3 Academy Training is a Coed program for athletes in the following grades for the 2019-2020 Calendared School Year:
  • Kindergarten: Graduation Year 2032
  • First Grade: Graduation Year 2031
  • Second Grade: Graduation Year 2030
  • Third Grade: Graduation Year 2029
